Support and advise the Chairman, CEO, Board of Directors and Senior Management of the Bank through the provision of relevant professional financial management information for decision making.
· The overall responsibility for the quality and accuracy of information, which is provided to internal and external stakeholders. This is of high importance in developing a strong image of the Bank.
· The role has direct responsibility for finance policies, which have a direct bearing on the determination of the results of the Bank.
· Directly involved in the formulation of strategic and budgetary plans, which have a direct impact on the future achievements of the Bank.
· Manages the overall operation of Financial Control Division.
· Designs and implements policy under the authority of the general management.
· Direct and reviews the following accounting and reporting systems:
- All financial reporting including daily, monthly and annual reports
- All regulatory reporting to the Central Bank
- The reconciliation and/or control of the NOSTRO and Branch accounts and IT General Ledger Systems
- The annual budget process
- Monthly management reporting
- Payment of all the Bank’s non-interest expenses
- Control and management of ARBAT and MSA General Ledger accounting systems
· Acts as the primary interface between:
- The bank and the external auditors
- The Central Bank regarding accounting and reporting matters
- FCD and general and Senior Management of the Bank
· Prepares long range financial planning.
· Directs and coordinates the development of product and customer profitability systems.
· Completes special assignments for the Chairman, CEO, Board of Directors and Senior Management as required.
· Advises Chairman, CEO, Board of Directors and senior management on accounting and reporting issues.
