Department: Foundation Program Unit
Reporting to : Foundation Programme Unit Director
Key Role:
The holder of the position of Instructor is expected to contribute to teaching in the area of specialization. The position requires a Master’s degree in the field of specialization and a promising research potential.
Responsibilities :
- Delivering lectures and/or tutorials in the area of specialization and as advised by the HOD/Dean. The normal teaching load is 15 hours/week.
- Assigning (5) five hours minimum as office hours.
- Providing academic advising to students.
- Providing student consultation on an ongoing basis.
- Acting as a teaching assistant for senior staff members whenever required.
- Contributing to the creation of intellectual atmospheres at the University by participating actively in seminars, workshops, etc.
- Contributing to the objective of enhancing the quality of education at GUST.
- Performing any activity that falls within the confines of the position and as requested by the HOD/Dean.
