The
Tripperz team is looking for a system administrator that can help manage the
backend server systems that power their world-class iOS travel App and help it
scale as the user base continues to grow. This person must take full ownership
of the App’s backend infrastructure and simultaneously manage issues and new
features/functionality in the pipeline.
Take ownership of an
API server code base written in PHP Laravel 5.4, and be able to debug
issues quickly and generate fixes as well as enhance the code base to add
new features & functionality over time.Monitor & maintain
a MySQL database powering the API server and overcome any challenges
associated with scaling over time to meet the demands of a larger user
base.Work with business
stakeholders to prioritize the backlog of enhancements & bugs to
ensure everyone is in agreement on the current work priorities.Analyze infrastructure
failures and provide root-cause analysies and recommended improvements to
prevent failures from occurring moving forward.Detecting &
defending against infrastructure security threats such as DDoS and network
intrusion attacks.Execute content
changes as advised by business stakeholders to ensure the consistency of
the App’s content.Automate common
content management tasks such as purging duplicate content elements and
detecting common user abuse patterns.
