IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director- Corporate Training
DEPARTMENT: Corporate Training
Unit: Learning and Development
FUNCTION: Responsible for the overall management of the learning and development unit.
PRIMARY TASKS:
1. Day-to-day management of the Learning and Development unit.
2. Assign workflow for the design of quality professional training materials including workbooks, training aids, audio and visual support materials, instructor guides and assessments to meet the expectations of the client.
3. Assign workflow associated with the process of course customization, and development of existing (internal and external) training programs to meet specific client needs.
4. Design and prepare course outlines.
5. Provision of high quality delivery of training sessions, programs and events.
6. Promote ACK CT programs within the corporate community and refer potential leads.
7. Responsible for the development of policies and procedures that relate to the Learning & Development function.
8. Supervise, train, motivate and appraise performance of the staff and satisfy individual training and development needs.
9. Implement and supervise operational standards, coordinate and maintain standard operating procedures.
10. Fulfill the role of Assessment Manager for Centre for City & Guilds and ILM.
11. Act as catalyst for change and improvement.
12. Identify and champion opportunities to improve efficiency.
13. Improves team efficiency and department effectiveness.
14. Complies with ACK policies and procedures.
15. Undertake other duties as required by the Director-Corporate Training.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for managing the resources dedicated to providing quality L&D solutions and services to ACK CT clients.
DIRECTION/SUPERVISION RECEIVED: The position works under broad direction from the Senior Director and is expected to exercise sound judgment, considerable initiative and discretion in achieving outcomes. The occupant is required to operate within a significant degree of autonomy in day to day activities.
