General Duties:
The waiter is expected to have strong communication skills and can communicate well with fellow colleagues and customers.
Have a strong and detailed knowledge of the restaurant’s menu and its items.
You must learn menu items and be able to describe them appropriately to guests.
The waiter is expected to work in a fast paced restaurant and must have the ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions especially when dealing with unexpected situations and crises.
The waiter must have flexibility in sudden changes in schedule and/or shortage of staff.
He/she should also be able to shift priorities as work demands change.
The waiter is also expected to aid in the improvement of the company's performance and business growth and is willing to work extra hours when needed (with compensation).
Waiters and waitresses are expected to be on their feet for long periods of time.
