A self development and motivational center in Kuwait is looking for a Counselor to join their team!
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Conducts group counseling sessions on topics designed to meet the needs of the patient
* Conducts individual counseling sessions for patients upon request and maintains appropriate records
* Liaises with staff to assist them in working effectively with patients
* Designs and conducts patient development workshops on relevant topics and identifies appropriate external speakers
* Maintains current knowledge of available community resources and referral processes; liaises with patient families and community agencies as appropriate
* Assists patient with special needs and medical conditions and advocates with supervisors
* Assist with student orientation sessions and participates in programs related to patient success
* Responds to emergencies and provides crisis intervention as required
* Keeps abreast of developments in the field by engaging in professional development activities
* Contributes to the development of the organization by monitoring programs and identifying areas for improvement; by observing and implementing policies and procedures; and by participating in extra-curricular activities and community events
* Travels to attend meetings, workshops and conferences as required
* Develops an awareness of and respect for the customs and cultures
* Performs other related duties as assigned
