GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an experienced Theatre Audio visual Technician that will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring audio and visual equipment for five performances. The applicant should maintain expert knowledge in all facets of audio and video for small & large live event productions. He/ She will need respond to high-end needs and provide an excellent guest experience through seamless setup and execution.
Ability to work with complex situations with a team as essential.
Main Duties
- Provide technical and creative support
to all users of the theatre and performance spaces.
- Set up and stage manage performance / event spaces
- Set up and operate lighting, sound and multimedia equipment
- Excellent knowledge of productions, and equipment for Theatre use.
- Liaise with relevant individuals to ensure support is provided as needed.
- Provide training on equipment and processes as required to key staff.
- Ensure all equipment is stored safely and is accessible to others when absent
- Maintain an inventory of all equipment and materials held and used.
- AV archive material and make available to staff
- Liaise with IT/technical staff over software requirements and system support
- Ensure all health and safety requirements are met for the use of the performances spaces and produce risk assessments for all theatre / event space activities
- Regularly update and advise all users of the theatres and event spaces on the safe use of the area and equipment
- Organise annual safety checks of all technical equipment, machines, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
- Stay up to date on technology and keep up with industry trends.
