Amongst other tasks, NSC is contracted to design, deliver, manage and maintain anIT network.
NSC requires a senior levelIT Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development of an IT strategy, defining requirements and then the full rollout of a network and all associated hardware across a college campus for up to 400 users. The IT Administrator will be responsible for asset management and warranty issues, scheduled maintenance, (audit logs, software and security updates, backups), monitoring (network traffic, security, and servers), account management (using a variety of services including bespoke simulation and E-Learning software), licencing, domain configuration and disaster recovery planning. You will also be responsible for a highly responsive help desk function to ensure the smooth running of all IT across the college.
Working to the IT Manager and operating within a small resident NSC team of technical and specialist former military staff, you will be knowledgeable, proactive and personable; comfortable working within and contributing to a small team, place the needs of the client and NDC users first, be comfortable working to challenging deadlines and prepared to deputise for the IT Manager where required.
