Job duties:
- Develop and implement an enterprise wide
“Risk Management Framework” for Al Mal including appropriate risk policies and procedures to manager the risk profile of Al Mal at the Macro/micro level; ensure that these are in line with the business strategy and vision set by the Board of Directors and CEO.
- Lead the development and implementation of various analytical risk management models, in order to identify, measure and control investment risks, Operational risks, market risks and forex risk.
- Develop Risk Assessment and Mitigation policies, processes and procedures for all areas of business - investment and consumer financing, across the entire value of chain of the business, e.g., funding, lending, product development, partnership and alliances.
Operational
- Develop and maintain standardized documentation for all risk assumptions undertaken.
- Monitor adherence to risk management procedures by line functions and advise them on risk related matters involving investment risk, market risk and management risk.
- Identify measure and analyze risk using risk measurement tools from several perspectives, such as investment risk, operational risk, market risk and management risk.
- Escalate and/or assist in resolving any risk related issues in co-operation with senior management.
- Develop and improve risk management processes, tools and methods.
- Ensure adherence to central bank of Kuwait and other regulatory guidelines related to risk management & Compliance where applicable.
- Ensure daily risk management of all major transaction focusing on understanding market risk environment.
Carry out risk management related projects, working closely with investment professionals.
