An oil and Gas service company is looking for a General Manager. The candidate must have over than 10 years experience in similar role.
Core Purposes
To implement the approved Business Plan, maximize profitability, increase capability and capacity and ensure customer satisfaction whilst complying with all current legislative obligations.
Responsibilities
- Look after the company's interests at all time
- Own and develop the relationship at the highest level whilst providing clear understanding, guidance and direction to Company’s other business entities
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business.
Operate in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Develop the company's image by representing the company in a professional
manner with all stakeholders
- Implement the Business Plan prepared by the Board. Plan and direct the company's activities to achieve &Agreed - targets and standards for financial and operational performance, HR and legislative adherence. Take remedial action where necessary and inform the Board of significant changes.
- Maintain and develop the company's skills base such that it remains a market
leader in its chosen fields.
- Identify the resources necessary (human, capital, assets) and make them available to ensure capability is in place to meet the demands of the Business Plan and forecasts. Ensure that those resources are managed effectively and efficiently
- Manage the company's interfaces with its parent Company, and actively work to
develop and support it to achieve its Business Plan
- Ensure performance objectives are in place, and assessed, for all key managers, and that they have set suitable performance objectives for their staff,
and that they are aligned with the needs of the Business Plan
- Provide strong leadership, paying particular attention to the mentoring and
support of senior managers and key staff
- Support sales and proposals to ensure they have sufficient technical and
commercial support to achieve the Business Plan
- Sponsor and oversee all key projects and make timely interventions where necessary to ensure project performance is not jeopardize
- Continually improve the company's systems and processes to ensure the
business adds value, innovation to achieve the competitiveness necessary to maintain market lead
- Ensure all information is provided to the finance department to manage cash,
pay role, banking facilities, currency, and monthly management/annual statutory
accounts in accordance with the timescales and procedures
- Prepare and present monthly performance updates, drawing particular attention
to deviations from the Business Plan, progress and risk assessments of all
significant projects
- Ensure that cash management is optimized
- Manage the interface between all company departments to ensure effective and efficient operation of the business.
