An Educational leader in charge of the management of policies and procedures and regulations to ensure that all children are being developed and supervised in a safe and caring educational environment. The Area Director supervises the curriculum development and implementation in addition to promoting and implementing the Kids First Group philosophy, vision, mission and values.
To achieve excellence, the Area Director collaborates to manage and take care of all employees while communicating and involving effectively the parents, making them part of the nursery.
The above is in addition to the following other responsibilities:
• Developing and guiding the implementation of the curriculum and developmental and educational program.
• Conducting continuous curriculum assessment based on daily child observations and examinations and implement changes as needed.
• Promoting effective teaching strategies
• Driving the development and following up on non-curricular activities.
• Managing employee and staff affairs
• Managing and evaluating the procedures to operate and manage the Nursery in a manner that supports its philosophy, values and mission. This includes the program curriculum and its implementation, non-curricular activities, discipline system, employee management, office operations, emergency/safety and hygiene procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with all laws, council’s policies and civil regulations for the Nursery, its employees and children.
• Developing the annual educational calendar regarding the subjects, programs and ensures that all children receive educational experiences that confirm to Kids Foundation philosophy, vision, mission and values.
• Establishing professional collaboration, respect and positive attitude towards children, parents and employees.
• Serving as appropriate Role Model for Children and employees. Dress and act appropriately at all times
• Holding continuous staff meetings and brainstorming sessions to ensure constant upgrading of the Nursery program
• Implementing effective inventory system on all supplies, material and equipment of the nursery.
• Implementing procedures to create and maintain an inspiring, welcoming, hygiene and safe facility including attention to sound and temperature control in the classroom.
• Evaluating and putting in place training and development program for direct reports and ensure the same is done by the direct reports for their subordinates.
• Building and maintain a solid and professional relationship with the concerned ministries, Municipality and Civil Defense Authorities.
• Putting in place a clear and thorough procedure to supervise, observe and assess children inside and outside the classroom at any time.
• Creating strong partnership with parents and ensuring they are an integral part of the nursery while building close communication channels with them to ensure utmost success of building the strong foundation of their children.
• Ensuring that Children’s records are fully completed and up-to-date while maintaining confidentiality of such records.
• Implementing procedures for excluding children from the program should they have abnormal health symptoms or if they experience a contagious disease that could pose a threat to the health and well-being of other children.
• Providing proper and accurate reporting to parents on the development of their child while ensuring official reporting twice a year through documented assessment of the child.
• Promoting the nursery and maximizing registration to ensure the agreed targets agreed with the management are met at all times.
