As a kitchen assistant your role will be to prepare quality ingredients according to production planning sheet and instructions from the pastry chef.
Job Description:
• Confidently carry out kitchen production activities to deliver the best to customers.
• Consistently deliver the right quality products according to the recipe.
• Consistently apply food health and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Escalate machinery issues to direct manager so that they can be resolved promptly.
• Carry out daily cleaning and hygiene activities.
• Reduce wastage and shrinkage.

You are expected to:
• Work extended hours and to be adapted working under different schedules.
• Check production planning sheets to prepare the right quantity ingredients.
• Work with the chef in preparation of food items.
• Check that the quality of food items to make sure they meet the required standards before going on sale.
• Carry out waste procedure in line with company policy.
• Work with the Chef to check that you have the right amount of ingredients at the right time.
• Work at all times with due care and attention to minimize risk to you, colleagues and the customers.
• Actively share ideas about how you could improve the business for customers.
• Know what your job is and prepare for your Performance Reviews.
• Support and help colleagues and management at all times.
