Principles of landscape irrigation and horticulture. Office procedure methods, and equipment including computer and applicable software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Pertinent local, state federal laws, ordinances and rules.
Job Description
- Plan prioritized, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for landscape implementation (hard and soft).
- Follow up hardscape and soft cape works, and Irrigation system implementation.
- Establish schedules and methods for providing landscape services, identify resource needs, review needs with appropriate staff, allocate resources accordingly.
- Participate in the development of goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures, make recommendations for changes and improvement to existing standards, policies, and procedures participate implementation of approve policies and procedures, monitor work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedure.
- Provide or coordinate staff training work with employees to correct deficiencies, implement discipline procedures.
- Participate in the preparation and administration of the division budget, submit budget recommendation, monitor expenditures
- Monitor and control supplies and equipment, order supplies and tools are necessary, prepare documents for equipment procurement.
- Answer questions and provide information to the public, investigate complaints and recommend a corrective action s necessary to resolve complaints.
- Perform the most technical and complex tasks of the work unit.
- Maintain records concerning operation and programs, prepare reports on operation and activities.
- Coordinate with contractors in providing contract services, solicit and collect bids for equipment and contracted maintenance work.
- Perform related duties as required.
