BHCK is urgently seeking faculty members for the positions of Interior Design and Decoration Lecturerand Instructor.
These positions require extensive experience, proven leadership, and a record of accomplishments in higher educational environment.
Experience and knowledge of TAFE and AQTF is a plus.

Position Summary BHCK requires an Instructor/Lecturer Level for Full / Part Time position for IDD Interior Design & Decoration Department.
The right candidate shall provide a high quality of teaching service to students who are enrolled in courses relevant to the Department; select and deliver appropriate teaching materials while maintaining quality systems (including Australian Quality Training Framework).
Main Responsibilities may include any and/or all of the following:
Teaching, Learning and Development
1. Select and deliver appropriate teaching and learning materials and ensure that effective learningis taking place in the classroom.
2. Demonstrate high-quality classroom teaching skills and successfully employ flexible, adaptiveapproaches and constructive strategies to allow students to reach their full potential.
3. Work within quality systems (including the Australian Quality Training Framework).
4. Prepare lessons plans, develop work units and maintain records to a high standard as required.
5. Maintain a detailed work program folder including lesson plans, handouts, assessments and textreferences for submission to the Head of Department at the end of the contractual period.
6. Apply successful assessment and reporting strategies that take account of relationships betweenteaching, learning and assessment.
7. Demonstrate and apply a high level of knowledge of relevant curriculum areas, student learningprocesses and resources to promote effective learning.
8. Participate in the evaluation and validation of courses and services relevant to the Department.
Leaders in Learning
1. Demonstrate improved teaching and performance skills through critically evaluatingprofessional practices.
2. Participate in College based learning area, curriculum development and evaluation meetingsrelevant to the teacher’s classes, student management meetings.
3. Undertake College based and/or external professional development focused on improvedteaching and learning strategies.
4. Participate in meetings and other activities relevant to the role of the position and theDepartment.
5. Act in accordance with the College’s Vision, Mission, values, and strategic directions.
Regulatory and Legislation Practices
1. Comply with the College’s policies and regulations, including equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and harassment.
2. Work safely and ensure others, including students, work safely.
3. Report any non-compliance with OH&S or any other statutory regulations to the Head ofDepartment as soon as practical.
4. Report OH&S incidents and arrange first aid treatment when necessary.
5. Report any incident to the Head of Department where staff or students are behaving in amanner that does not show care for the physical facilities of the Centre.
6. Comply with College’s Code of ConductNote:    The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, but within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
Key Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated successful record in business programs teaching including the ability to developcourse materials, curriculum, teaching methodologies, assessment strategies and evaluation ofbusiness programs.
2. Demonstrated understanding of quality systems, such as Quality Assurance and the AustralianQuality Training Framework (AQTF) as they relate to administration and delivery of teachingprograms.
3. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work flexibly and harmoniously as a member of team in an environment subject to change.
