Accountable for:
- Developing documentation, operating manuals for all database systems
- Contributing in the development of IT long-term strategic plan and annual budgets
- Provide adequate training, and awareness to achieve optimal performance from all ITC’s
- Ensuring development and adherence to & prompt closure to Audit findings
- Ensuring IT services continuity and efficient support to all units at a local and regional level
- Ensures backup and recovery of database systems and files on regular intervals
Key Roles:
- Maintain and update database administration standards to ensure most efficient and reliable aspects of a database including security, recoverability, integrity, availability and performance on a global basis.
- Contribute to the implementation of projects and initiatives related to IT database administration in line with the industry best practices and Risk management (includes mitigation of risks), and identify best practice solutions to automate / enhance Database / Data warehouse systems administration procedures
- Develop and update operating manuals for all Database systems and ensure adequate system resource are available for smooth function of the systems.
- Provide 2nd line of technical support and expertise to different group entities and Participate in the development of IT Expertise to IT staff locally and regionally
- Adherence and compliance to all Database Engagements and close all related audit findings
- Development of standard scripts per database to automate daily/periodic administration or diagnostics procedures
- Identify reporting tools and using standard database management and compliance systems to proactively identify system administration gaps and issues
- Works in line with the analyst to provide meaningful business reports as demanded.
