Khayal Consultants is looking for a highly creative and experienced web UI designer and developer that has demonstrated an excellent ability to design and deliver engaging responsive web projects and omni-channel digital projects that perfectly blend the related brand values, the latest aesthetic and technical best practices, and the project’s experience, communication, and functional objectives.
Required Skills & Experience
The candidate must have the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years of web and web UI design and development experience;
- Solid understanding of UX and UI design with an emphasis on maximizing usability for the intended audience/users and the key usability/transactional/experience objectives
- Front-end skills and some basic understanding of how back-end development works
- Solid markup skills utilizing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Experience using and customizing jQuery libraries
- Use Adobe Creative Suite programs, e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash & Flex to mockup UI elements
- Use responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices
- Conduct usability testing to identify and fix UI issues, and gather real-world intelligence from target users
- Use social network APIs (from Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.) to integrate social actions
- Use visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards and UI flow charts, to plan and present user interface designs
- Practical exposure and experience working in a development environment that includes Node.js, CSS pre-processors such as SASS/LESS, and task runners like Gulp and Grunt
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks like Bootstrap or Foundation
- Develop and test across multiple browsers, platforms, and devices, including smartphones and tablets
- Knowledge of HTML Email best practice
- Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to develop search-friendly websites and interfaces
- Collaborate with business and IT decision makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm UI ideas
- Keep current with the latest trends and best practices of UI/UX design and HCI (human-computer interaction)
