Leading, local bakery manufacturing company is now looking for a Chief Accountant to join their growing team in Kuwait.
As our Chief Accountant, you will be part of the fast growing company and oversees all daily accounting activities of a team of 10 accountants. You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory based set of management accounts, including balance sheet, on a monthly basis, using this information to assist the Group Financial Controller with the production of the monthly management accounts.
- Establish and maintain effective accounting control procedures.
- Approve journal entries and payments to ensure adherence to the company policies and procedures.
- Review reconciliations and detect accounting errors on a timely basis.
- Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data held within the Oracle finance systems and the security of the related data entry processes.
- Through preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensure the balances reported in the financial statements are complete and precise.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting templates.
- Assist the Group Financial Controller with monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure clean audit report.
- Manage and supervise the accounting team.
- Continuous support the budget and forecast activities.
- Support the ongoing ERP implementation including data migration and user training.
- Montior fixed assets register.
- Ensure that key financial processes are properly documented and updated.
