Job Purpose:
The Manager- Infrastructure Systems leads the analysis, planning, deployment and administration of the Bank’s core systems (Databases/Core Applications/Servers/SAN) based on the technical knowledge and the latest technological updates in alignment with the IT Governance and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and deployment of new technology integrations and core systems
Translate IT business strategy into operational plans for own area, ensuring they fully integrate with other IT teams
Prepare and implement department operating budget and operate within the guidelines
Design and maintain the quality control points to ensure adequate system performance to the satisfaction of all business users and in compliance with the IT Governance standards
Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department
Lead the analysis, planning, implementation of change requests as received from the various business areas and vendors (e.g. fixes, patches, upgrades etc.) towards the final achievement of stable and adequate systems
Ensure the continuous documentation and update of related procedures as per the guidelines of IT Governance
Lead Database and Core Systems team and guide them in administering core systems, improve procedures, processes and documentation for improving overall productivity
Generate and escalate periodic and requested reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Research, assess, negotiate and contact vendors for products suitable for Burgan’s requirements
Participate in the selection and development of staff
Evaluate performance and recommend developmental needs of the team
Review recommendations of subordinate staff and provide guidance in resolving complex or sensitive problems
Maintain and promote positive work culture and responsible for improving employee engagement level of the team
