Job Scope:
Consultant is responsible for patients with medical problems in Dermatology. Consultant will maintain compliance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of Hospital, Ministry of Health standards for the Department; He/She will also plan, directs, administers and supervises activities for patients. Reports to the Medical Director on matters relating to the operation of the patient care division and maintain contact with the Head of Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Department Policy and Guidelines.
- Examines, diagnoses the overall diseases of the skin and subsequently prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to the assessed medical conditions.
- Prepares and review case histories and clinical records and generate very accurate medical reports.
- Examines patients, perform biopsies, and other diagnostic techniques of dermatology, and determine requirements for clinical laboratory tests. Interpret test results and evaluate examination findings.
- Manages dermatological services and follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- Formulates plans and procedures for dermatological services.
- Advises on types and quantity of dermatological supplies and equipment and Coordinate dermatological services with other medical activities.
- Consultant will review outpatients summaries and shall prepare reports and statistical analysis as required of him; such reports will be prepared in a timely manner in accordance with the standards within the Department.
- Consultant has a responsibility to report any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the Clinic or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations which put patients, staff and visitors at risk of injury or other harm.
- Attends regularly scheduled meeting for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.
