Under the direction of the HOD, the Registrar of Plastic Surgery assists the Consultant/Specialist in the Inpatient and Outpatient Services of the Department of Plastic Surgery
- Examining patients' files and taking their histories in order to provide them with the best surgical options.
- Providing a detailed description of the risks and benefits of surgery prior to the procedure.
- Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures.
- Prescribing medication like painkillers, antibiotics, and providing aftercare advice to patients.
- Monitoring the patient's healing by removing stitches, inspecting the incision, and inspecting the incisions.
- Updating clinic policies and patient records as well as performing administrative tasks
