The Role:
Working out of our warehouses, the Furniture Installation Operative will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks using hand trucks, dollies, carts or hand carrying at dock level and street level.
You will learn the correct methods of handling, uncartoning and staging products, and will assemble, align and level systems furniture.
Additional responsibilities include:
\[ Installing and adjusting casegoods and seating products
\[ Disassembling, moving and reassembling systems products
\[ Knowing and following the proper use, maintenance and safety requirements of hand, power and mechanical tools.
During deliveries you will be expected to carry products up and down stairs where elevators are not available.
Qualifications & Requirements:
You will have:
\[ Knowledge in written and spoken English
\[ Good physical health and able to lift and carry heavy objects
\[ Prior work experience in a warehouse (preferred)
\[ Skilled at installation and dismantling furniture and carpentry is a bonus.
