Main Purpose of Job:
To supervise teams of safety personnel and audit project activities to ensure all work is conducted in accordance with international safety standards and Company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure the Company Safety Manual is available to all affected personnel and the policies and procedures contained therein are followed at all times
- To ensure the requirements and recommendations of regulatory bodies are followed in accordance with Company policy and procedures
- To assess risks on site and make recommendations to responsible personnel to ensure all risks are managed or eliminated
- To promote safe working practices and safety consciousness among safety team members, project personnel and subcontractors including delivering training courses as required.
- To prepare materials for site safety inductions to ensure that every employee is informed and trained to perform their job in a productive and safe manner
- To implement accident prevention programs to ensure LTI's are minimized and contribute to the preparation of the Project’s HSE plan.
- To conduct site safety inspections, audits, job safety analysis and risk assessments as and when needed.
- To conduct accident and incident investigations in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- To supervise and manage junior safety officers and safety engineers on site.
- To undertake evaluation of new and existing safety equipment to ensure it meets accepted international and Company standards
