Vehicle Tracking controller will be responsible for operating and maintaining the vehicle tracking system used by Citybus to monitor vehicles, drivers and inspectors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates Vehicle Tracking system, which entails monitoring and maintaining the system’s database of vehicles and drivers.
- Monitor speeding, idling and engine door alerts and suitably act upon them.
- To ensure that accurate daily records are generated and submitted to the VTS Supervisor / manager on a daily basis.
- To achieve maximum levels of schedule compliance on all bus routes .
- To resolve issues pertaining to route deviations.
- Enters and maintains landmark information in database for location and identification of all vehicles and bus stops within Citybus’ operating network.
- To liaise with drivers and breakdown team for necessary requirements and follow-ups.
- Assist on-road service delivery team by providing vehicle locations, expected arrival times, traffic blockages and rerouting of vehicles
- To take into consideration all company policies, procedures, and standards and to maintain records of same.
- Provides on-demand detailed reports of vehicle locations and times and driver performance from the GPS database.
- Maintain positive and constructive working relationships with other members of the operations and workshop team.
- To undertake other reasonable tasks requested by the VTS Supervisor/ Manager or other Managers within the Company.
