The arena, which is owned by the Tamdeen Group, and managed by Live Nation, is a vital part of major destination development, which is located alongside the Grand Hyatt Kuwait and the Rafa Nadal Academy Kuwait, and connected to the 360 Mall, via the newly opened 360 Mall expansion.
The Arena Kuwait is a 5,000+ capacity purpose-built indoor venue that will stage all types of live entertainment, sports and events. It has been designed to world-class standards and is set to transform the delivery of events in Kuwait.
OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager/Head of Operations will play a key role within the venue management team by leading the operations team in ensuring the efficient and effective venue operation during all non-event and events days ensuring employee, client, and guest safety, security, and enjoyment. The Operations Manager/Head of Operations has overall responsibility of all technical facets within 360 Arena.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager/Head of Operations will lead the day-to-day facility operations and have specific responsibilities during event and non-event days.
On non-event days, the incumbent will;
- Provide operational expertise and management of a multi-purpose entertainment and sports facility.
- Create and implement policies and procedures regarding facility operations with a specific focus on the efficiency and safety of operations guided by industry best practices.
- Manage the FM service provider ensuring they maintain effective general and preventive maintenance programs, including the implementation and management of work order systems.
- Work with the FM service provider to plan, organize, coordinate and direct all activities and personnel engaged in providing hard and soft services within the Arena including; cleaning, security, etc.
- Manage third party service providers by enforcing the agreed upon scope of services within various signed service agreements.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of operations budgets and the staffing plans.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for operational functions of the venue by all event service providers and contractors.
- Support the Booking & Content Manager by preparing projected Event Cost Estimates and analysis of specific areas of responsibility, e.g., negotiating with event service providers for rigging event services etc.
- Overseeing work by contractors and reporting on variations to work orders.
On event days, specific responsibilities for the incumbent will be;
- Set-up the Arena as per the event requirements and be the key person onsite overseeing move-ins, move-outs and all incoming personnel and show operations.
- Meeting with clients/promoters to discuss their event needs and then arranging and coordinating Arena services. prior, during and after events including third party event services suppliers.
- To manage Arena technical staff and all event workers on event days
- To be responsible for the operations and maintenance management of the Arena Audio and Video equipment
- To provide technical support and supervision for performances and events, coordinating additional workforce and equipment as required
- Working in cooperation with the Event Management team, be responsible of managing hard and soft services, such as, cleaning security etc.
- Supervision of Arena Rigging set ups.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage policies and procedures related to the venue operations plans.
