Purpose: A field-based customer facing role, with activities focused on Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and Healthcare
Professionals (HCPs) with the intent to maximize medical one-on-one interactions with KMEs/HCPs. The NMD area landscape comprises of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Responsibilities
• Acts as a scientific expert, with a comprehensive knowledge of company products, disease state and competitor
products in compliance with applicable law, Distributors and (as communicated to distributor) company policies.
• Identify KMEs/HCPs in NMD and work in collaboration with respective Product Specialists in engaging KOLs from a medical perspective
• Develop, maintain, and implement KME/HCP engagement plans to build and maintain strong scientific relationships, such that Distributer and company are recognized as an industry partner of choice
• Plan KME/HCP visits and utilize the CRM database to record KME/HCP interactions
• Provide current, accurate and balanced scientific education to KMEs/HCPs and facilitate data discussions in relevant therapeutic areas
• Provide scientific presentations to individual physicians or groups of physicians, e.g. scientific seminars, round table meetings, journal clubs etc.
• Source and brief international and local speakers for national and regional meetings within the Gulf, in accordance
with Distributor and (as communicated to distributor) company processes
• Reactively explore & facilitate clinician-driven ideas for Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs) and Sponsored Research
Agreements (SRAs)
• Act as a liaison between investigators and company ensuring regular communication regarding the progress of IIT & SRA proposals
• Ensure speaker briefings, contracts and slide review processes adhere to all Distributor and (as communicated to
distributor) company SOPs and legal/regulatory requirements.
• Understand and adhere to all local and (as communicated to distributor) global company compliance standards,
including adverse event reporting, patient privacy, external stakeholder engagement and company Code of Business
Conduct.
• Complete and maintain timely documentation required by Distributor in order to be communicated to company (e.g.
expense reports, compliance related, CRM system).
