· People Management: Manage, motivate and develop individual employees and the team in line with people policies & practices. Communicate operational procedures.
· Corporate Governance and Compliance: Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks
· Audit plan: Explain audit plans and objectives to auditees and ensure the scope of the audit and audit process is understood
· Auditing: Carry out audits, report on progress, complete checks, ensure audit are completed on time and in line with defined scope and IAD procedures
· Compliance issues: Identify and report compliance issues, assess implications and raise with auditees
· Internal controls: Test internal control systems and report on their adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness
· Risk & fraud: Assess risk of frauds and irregularities and report on these effectively
· Data analysis: Analyze and evaluate data on a continuous basis. Structuring, centralizing and scheduling queries for automatic interrogation on data to provide required results. Presenting results in a format understandable by the business and executive management.
· Confidentiality: Ensure confidentiality and secured retention of hard or electronic data, information and records.
· Reporting: Report on audit and investigations, present to auditees and ensure follow up and validation on audit issues
· Audit Investigations: Carry out investigations into irregularities/fraud and provide independent opinion based on facts, policies, procedures, etc.
· Effective audits carried out in line with schedule & plan and accuracy in recording audit findings.
· Effectiveness in making enquiries, probing issues and understanding & testing system
