Purpose of Job (Objectives)
- Actively seeking out new sales opportunities, negotiating deals with possible clients and implementing company cost and price lists to prepare and deliver consistent and timely controlled customer quotations/commercial offers, after checking the availability of resources in coordination with the concerned departments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifying and establishing contact with potential customers proactively. Negotiate rates with the local and overseas agents and shipping lines.
- Contacts prospects and customers based on quotes, qualified sales leads, and targeted cold calling.
- Focuses on sales targets by developing new international business opportunities, troubleshooting customer problems and enhancing existing customer relationships.
- Develop supply chain solutions for customers while coordinating pricing and global implementation.
- Entering data in the sales system in a manner that allows for the accurate identification of opportunities for future follow up.
- Meeting predetermined personal and team-based sales target and quotas
- Coordinating, preparing, and follow up on quotations sent to clients.
- Ensure prompt and effective resolution of customer complaints and escalate issues to immediate superior whenever required.
- Provide weekly sales reports to direct supervisor.
- Provide monthly data analysis gains / losses / projections and provide competitor activity feedback
- Maintain a healthy relationship with client’s, overseas agents, and local shipping lines.
- Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of others in the organization as well as environmental protection issues.
- Responsible for reporting to his/her supervisors` occurrences, events, violations and act that may affect safety, security and company reputation.
- Perform any other duties related to his/her job as assigned by the Direct Supervisor
