Role Profile:
Responsible for executing food safety audit programs; ensure that resources are effectively managed and controls are in place to ensure that audit plans are delivered as required by the business; provide audit measurement and reporting tools to support the business and facilitate compliance with food safety regulation and Alshaya requirements.
Key Performance Areas
Work with various stakeholders to ensure that audit tools are aligned to Alshaya and regulatory requirements and make recommendations as needed.Maintain food safety audit standards, protocols, audit data, store lists, etc to ensure adherence to the management system, ensure confidentiality, and to facilitate swift, accurate reporting.Recruit, train, and manage audit staff to execute according to the audit plan. Agree on team and individual objectives and KPIs and manage individual performance.Agree on annual audit plan for all Brands in all markets to help ensure food safety controls are maintained.Manage audit service provider/s to ensure resources are consistent and aligned, and all databases are adequate to capture and report results as needed. Agree on KPIs and review service performance on a regular basis.Manage audit queries and challenges and adjust reports, communicate, re-train as needed.Prepare and present reports and presentations on brand/division performance audits as required to highlight risks and trends and recommend actions.Execute the audit plan and respond to additional audit requirements as directed by the line manager.Seek out more effective ways to conduct audits, manage data, etc and recommend changes.Any other duties to support QA function as required by the Head of QA department.
Knowledge:
B.S. degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Food Microbiology preferred with 5 yrs QA or related industrial food experience.10 years of relevant experience in one or more sector of the food industryLead Assessor/Auditor qualifiedDemonstrable and practical HACCP Knowledge
Experience:
Experienced in food manufacturing or restaurant operations.Minimum 5 years experience in food hygiene or technical standards audits in food operationsFamiliar with the best practices of food safety management.Experience in managing people and in managing service providers
Skills:
Ability to communicate confidently with all levels of business managementAbility to multi-task multiple projectsAble to collect and analyze complex data, evaluate information, and draw conclusions/make recommendations.Good report writing and presentation skills -verbal and writtenExcel Advanced; Intermediate PowerPoint
