- 7 years experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of large web/portal application systems using java/j2EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, JDBC) of which at least 3 years in UI development.
- Strong knowledge of Ajax and interactive web page architecture.
- Portal user interface development experience.
- Good experience in using java-based design patterns and applications frameworks ADF, Struts, Struts2, experience in spring and Hibernate is an advantage.
- Strong SQL and Pl/sql skills and experience in working extensively with Oracle and Microsoft SQL server and other relational databases.
- Good experience in working with multi tier architecture.
- Ability to lead the team by showing technical depths (hands – on practical knowledge) and mentoring junior team members.
- Must have worked in application and web servers like Fusion Middleware, Apache Tomcat. Knowledge of IBM web sphere functions is required.
- Advanced Java certifications is an added advantage.
- Gather, document and analyze business requirements in order to help define scope of software development initiatives. May include web page mock ups and interaction prototyping.
- Produces and maintains documentation related to application software (e.g. scope requirements, logical designs, and technical designs, testing plans)
- Design and develop clinical web application user interfaces and develop both front-end UI/JSP pages and necessary backend JAVA classes to support data access and user authorization.
- Develop dynamic rich user interfaces using JSP and HTML/ JSF/Java script/ Query/ Javascript libraries/ AJAX.
- Working knowledge of UI Java script based libraries for charting and reporting is a plus.
- Good experience in web services technologies, techniques and transport mechanisms including REST, SOAP, WSDL, XML and JSON.
- Develop web application functionality related to vision major release schedules and reporting functionality related to client custom needs and requests.
- Own responsibilities for modules of the project assigned for development.
- Promptly escalates issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence and report same to reporting manager.
- Troubleshoot and implement bug fixes related to client and user reported issues.
