Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Auditor is primarily responsible for assisting the delivery of audit assignments throughout the Group’s various business activities both in Kuwait and overseas. This includes either working as part of an audit team and being responsible for completing sections of a major assignment or leading smaller audits in accordance with departmental procedures. The post holder should represent the department in a professional manner at all times, abide by professional standards as laid down by the IIA, and seek every opportunity follow the principles articulated in the department’s vision and objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Delivery of assigned sections of audits in accordance with departmental procedures or leading smaller assignments. Specifically; defining the audit programme, performing field work,audit testing, implementing, and summarizing findings for managers review.
- Preparing working papers in accordance with departmental procedures and best practice.
- Liaising with Department Head and customers on a daily basis and keeping them abreast of audit progress
- Preparing audit points and recommendations for inclusion in the draft Audit Report for Department Head’s review.
- Assisting with special investigations as required whilst maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Influencing the strengthening of business process and controls through the sharing of best practice.
