BIM Modeler – Interior, Kuwait
To assist the Head of Section/Head of Design/BIM Manager/Project Manager in executing Interior designs from project initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, quality requirements and contract obligations in order to fulfil client requirements. Ensure that the design intent is maintained throughout the project lifecycles.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure effective use of computer programs to develop relatively error free presentation drawings
- Create initial Revit project setup with workflow documents
- Setting up project BIM files for use by all users on a project
- Building Architect BIM Models using Autodesk Revit
- Maintaining and updating file templates Revit projects and Revit families.
- Work as part of BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent result.
- Ensure that drawings comply with the CAD Drafting/BIM Modeling and Design support.
- Coordinate and manage Revit drawing.
- Create Revit families and CAD blocks.
- Demonstrate proactive approach to learning of new digital design tools.
- Creating content for BIM libraries and document BIM models and sharing it with counterparts BIM Leads and Coordinators in other offices or on-site Locations
- Ensure that drawings are coordinated, interrelate with each other, referenced and layered correctly
- Manage the archive of incoming and outgoing CAD files/Revit (drawings) in accordance to the CAD/Revit standards in order to allow for all files to be easily referred to when required
- Researching and testing new software and Revit add-ins to make recommendations
- Ensure to meet agreed deadlines and task benchmarks established by team members
- Ensure compliance with the approved BIM scope plans.
- Link all relevant Revit models and ensure relevant project models are being utilized
- Collaborate with Modellers to ensure quality of deliverables; train and support new BIM team members
- Monitoring BIM models for coordination and information integrity to ensure compliance with project deliverables and BIM standards
- Assemble composite design models for coordination meeting.
- Coordinate BIM file exchange and archiving of milestone submittals.
- Ensure proper archiving drawings as per company policy
- Guides and assists team members
Education & Qualifications
- Diploma in Interior
- Autodesk Certification
- Certificate in CAD Management/Certificate in Auto-cad Architecture/Revit
Professional Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the Construction & Contracting industry
