TITLE: Officer- Public Relations
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Senior Manager- Public Relations
DEPARTMENT: Communications and External Relations
Unit: Public Relations
FUNCTION: Supports the daily activities of the department.
PRIMARY TASKS:
1. Provides comprehensive level of assistance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
2. Provides high level of administrative and clerical support to the unit, department or function.
3. Undertakes special projects to meet the objectives of the function.
4. Prioritizes and manages multiple projects simultaneously, and follow-up on issues in a timely manner.
5. Collect and prepare background documents for various tasks.
6. Follow the college rules and regulations.
7. Draft press releases, assist with media relations and create media clip reports.
8. Develop and write social media content.
9. Handles inquiries from the public, press and related organizations.
10. Coordinate events such as exhibitions, seminars and open days for the public relations department and any other department as required.
11. Support the public relations activities associated with the ACK graduation event.
12. Support the development of promotional collateral and its distribution.
13. Monitor, evaluate and analyze social media and online activity for the department.
14. Undertake other duties as required by the Senior Manager- Public Relations.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: To ensure that duties are carried out to a satisfactory standard.
