Job Title: Showrooms Supervisor
Division: Business & Development Division
Role Objective:
To run the company’s showrooms successfully by monitoring the financial performance
of each branch. To be responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day
supervision including sales, staff, stock and resources management. To be in
charge of the general operations of each showroom by ensuring that it is
working within the company’s guidelines. To be responsible for all aspects of
store operations and planning, including events like weekly sales flyers and
their execution
and evaluation. To ensure maximum sales, effective cost control and efficient utilization
of labor. To ensure a positive shopping experience for customers and a positive
working environment for employees.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1.Training the staff on their assigned roles and areas of responsibility.
2. Supervising staff on a daily basis and responding to their queries as and
when required.
3. Evaluating the staff performance on a periodic basis to analyze value addition
to the business.
4.Motivate staff to maximize profitability and meet sales targets.
5. Develop, update and maintain the job descriptions for all functions
within the department
6. Oversee department staff to ensure they are held accountable for their
assigned areas of responsibility
7. Create an atmosphere that ensures positive store morale through effective
supervisor treatment and recognition. The workforce should be enthusiastic,
guest focused and embedded in a selling culture.
8. Prepare monthly and annual staff projections to achieve budgeted
payroll percentage.
9. Deal with customer queries and complaints
10. Provide for desired levels of guest satisfaction by ensuring staff courtesy
and service throughout their stay.
11. To lay special emphasis on front-end service commitment during entry
and exit of customers.
12. To build good customer relations and ensure return visits.
13. Walk in stores regularly to ensure an organized, sanitary, and overall
clean appearance at all times
14. Oversee pricing and stock control
15. Ensure that selling prices are competitive by keeping a regular check
on the competitors
16. Anticipate highs and lows in the business and strategize accordingly.
17. Protect company assets: merchandise, cash, facilities and equipment.
18. Monitor cash management for the stores by approving approval of all
store expenses before they occur.
19. Monitor and control store variable expenses.
20. To arrange audits for inventory as and when required.
21. Assist in the preparation of promotional materials and displays in
coordination with the Marketing & PR Officer.
22. Coordinate all store events including executing weekly sales flyers
merchandising plans and other marketing promotions
23. To align with other cross-functional departments on exchange of business
information or updates on product issues.
24. Develop, update and maintain the policies and procedures for the department
25. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
26. Maintain stores sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with local
laws and best practices.
27. Develop, update and manage the business plan / budget on a daily,
weekly and monthly basis.
28. Develop statistical and financial reports related to the branches’
performance and present to management as and when required.
29. Accountable for achieving budgeted financial result.
Education Qualifications,
Skills and Knowledge
1.Bachelor’s Degree from a
reputed university.
2. MS Office: Good knowledge of Excel and Power point for reports and
presentation.
3. Languages: Excellent verbal and written English and working knowledge
of Arabic
4. Leadership skills in managing a team.
5. Ability to motivate others.
6. Capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
7. Ability to multitask and have excellent organizational skills.
8. Team player while working in a cross-functional team
9. Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with people from different
nationalities.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
11. To be flexible and ability to adapt to the changing retail environment.
12. Must have the ability to analyze and create action plans for financial
statements.
13. Positive mental attitude and self-driven
Experience:
1. Minimum 7 years preferably within a retail showroom.
