• Sets and leads the direction for students’ academic advancement department and monitors implementation of the strategic plan.
• Liaises and coordinates with Deans and other academic units to ensure the professional implementation of the curriculum.
• Continuous monitoring of the professional application of the curriculum according to known academic and accreditation standards. This includes that the plans of study are respected and properly applied.
• Communicates necessary reports and statistics to different departments to make proper academic decisions; for example, sending “must” courses report for the courses needed for graduate students
• Makes plans to ensure that all students are registered for at least 12 credits unless graduating or a legitimate reason and recommends whether courses may be closed according to the needs of the students.
• Advises for an individual case needing an academic opinion , solves any academic problem related to equivalencies needed in the engineering curriculum
• Makes decisions with the deans for approval/rejection of permission slips, petitions forms and “add & drop” forms.
• He/She manages and gives the final draft for AAC processes such as EPP bulk advising and probation processes, reviews forms and reports that are produced by AAC.
• Is a mentor to her advisors and all students or pertaining to students while online registration while sending the necessary feedback and requests to the different departments involved.
• Ensures effective utilization of all staff, manages team issues, invest in teams training and morale for effective outputs and results and sustaining high standards of service.
