Trafalgar is seeking a Value-Added Tax (VAT) accountant to be responsible for all accounting issues related to VAT, as well as VAT compliance issues related to the VAT return and the intra-GCC return.
Location:
The accountant will be stationed in the Kuwait office, but will handle all VAT issues for Trafalgar entities in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE.
Responsibilities:
Review of ledgers and reconcile sales and output VAT figures
Review of ledgers and reconciliation of input VAT figures
VAT return accounting data entries
VAT returns preparation
VAT returns filing
Issue summary report to finance as regards VAT returns filed
Escalade issues, if any
Oversight of the organization’s compliance with VAT
Address queries from various stakeholders in the organization related to VAT
Address VAT queries from the tax authorities
Filing the intra-GCC electronic returns before the deadlines
Coordinate with other departments, especially IT and supply chain, to fulfil VAT objectives
Coordinating with the advisors
Consistently and actively searching for updates / developments related to VAT and other issues related to indirect tax
