Field Service Engineer - Kuwait
The client are part of Caterpillar Inc. and have their Head Office in San Diego, USA. They are an Original Equipment Manufacturer for Gas Turbines and Gas Compressors. The Dubai office is the Regional Hub for the Middle East, Africa and parts of Asia. The Dubai office is a Sales & Service office for the region. Solar Turbines sell directly to end-users in the Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical and Heavy Industry sectors.
To support their growth in the region they are looking to hire a Kuwaiti National to be a Field Service Engineer for the region covered by the Dubai office.
The Field Service Engineer will be based out of the Dubai office from an organisational perspective and the contract will be compliant with UAE Labour Law. At present Solar Turbines do not have a legal entity established in Kuwait and do not plan to have one.
Initially the successful candidate will be given a comprehensive training program, which will involve regular travel to San Diego. There is an option to be based in San Diego for 12 months for factory training. It is expected it will take 18-24 months to have a Field Service Engineer fully trained.
The key responsibilities of the role will be to be a key client interface for technical, commercial and customer service. You will be developed to be a Senior Technical authority on the Solar Turbines product range. You will be responsible for providing the client with sound technical advice as well as performing maintenance, service and repair on the Solar Turbines products.
