POSITION SUMMARY:
Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the display and placement of products and accessories on the showroom sales floor in line with the business. She/he will create and maintain a visual personality for the showroom floor and will implement and /or develop annual visual strategies depending on the brand that will drive and promote company’s sales business targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Support the Sales Manager /VM Manager to implement visual directives across all boutiques and showrooms.
• Liaising with teams such as buying, design and marketing to create design themes and plans, often months in advance, including window and in-store displays, signage and pricing concepts.
• Identify and source props ,fabrics ,hardware and lighting;
• Maintain a budget and negotiate with suppliers of visual materials.
• Create visual merchandising packs to communicate visual guidelines including layout principles ,visual dressings and signage
• Visiting branches to coach in-store visual merchandising or sales teams to interpret the guidelines and training them in the execution of the visual concept;
• Carrying out ‘comp (comparison) shops’ to maintain awareness of other retailers visual merchandising concepts;
• Leading and motivating teams to complete displays to tight deadlines;
• Plan and implement the seasonal changeover of window schemes.
• Organize the VM tools wherever required
• Seasonal window décor planning for all categories
• Create a welcoming in-store experience across multiple markets
• Create visual displays in stores that are appealing to local customers
• Partner with brand teams to create market specific features to help remain relevant in local markets.
