JOB PURPOSE: The Steam Boiler Technician is responsible for the efficient day to day operation of all of the operational elements within the Steam boiler house.
The Steam Boiler Technician is responsible for the efficient day to day operation of all of the operational elements within the Steam boiler house at the Four Seasons Hotel. As part of a self-directed team, they balance the needs of their specific assigned facilities with the building facilities and utilize their team resources effectively to meet all demands. He/She must be able to troubleshoot, solve problems and repair equipment under tight timelines.
He/She shall carry out day to day operational activities relating to Steam Boilers, Boiler Water Treatment, Fuel oil distribution, Compressed Air Plant, Control systems etc.
This post includes specific responsibilities associated with coordinating all Statutory Insurance Inspection Works with the Customer
KEY REPOSIBILITIES :
- Carry out utility plant routine operations.
- Carry out operational log book recordings by ensuring a comprehensive record of all daily activity is recorded in a formal logging system.
- Be responsible for co-ordinating all pressure systems Insurance Inspection requirements within the utilities function in the Boilerhouse.
- Assist the Senior Technician in preparation of a monthly report.
- Ensure familiarisation and conformance to legal and statutory reporting requirements for Boilerhouse operation - BG01
- Ensure that company HSE values are promoted throughout all areas of activity on site and to other members of the site team.
- Carry out boiler water chemical testing as required, making adjustments as necessary to ensure levels kept within operating parameters.
- Flag up when ordering of boiler water chemicals is required and accept deliveries of same.
- Flag up when ordering of fuel is required and accept deliveries of same.
- Any other tasks deemed appropriate in relation to the boiler operations/water treatment as required.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
- Along with other ENGIE site employees, ensure their area of responsibility is kept clean and tidy at all times
