- Adhere to Patient Documentation Servicesbudgets and ensure optimal utilization of all available resources.
- Implement approved policies, processes and procedures to ensure work is completed in a controlled and consistent manner while meeting the hospital’s objectives
- Ensure cost-efficient usage of all applicable resources to reduce wastage and unnecessary expense; Share ideas and viewpoints to further streamline processes, thus driving efficiency and improvements across the organization.
- Ensure compliance and adhere to all relevant HSE and Risk management procedures.
- Take part in change initiatives, programmes and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.
- Manage the achievement of objectives by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing staff and providing formal and informal feedback in order to maximise overall performance and engagement.
- Conduct complete, accurate, consistent coding and/or DRG/code validation resulting in appropriate reimbursement, data integrity, and minimal variation in coding practices
- Assist the Supervisor in verifying and reporting productivity for Coding, DRG/Code Validation, Unbilled, and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) reconciliation.
