Purpose:
To supervise and give technical direction in a hands on capacity to a team of technicians ensuring standards of Mechanical & Electrical Operations, Maintenance and Repair are carried out in line with contract specification whilst ensuring that all SHEQ, Customer and ENGIE standards are maintained at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific to this post
To operate, diagnose faults, maintain and rectify all mechanical / electrical plant and equipment including distribution systems within the Laundry & Kitchen areas on site.
To ensure that the Operations Manager is kept fully informed of all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and Customer circumstances which may impact upon the safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective operation of the plant and smooth operation of the contract.
To supervise the site team and ensure all operations, maintenance and repair works to all plant and equipment is carried out in line with contract specifications.
To work with the Operations Manager and Customer Representatives to ensure that all records are maintained within the reactive and planned maintenance system.
To carry out audits and surveys of plant and equipment to ensure standards are maintained in line with good industry practice.
To act as the day to day interface between ENGIE and the Customer (specifically in the Laundry & Kitchens) regarding M&E operation, maintenance and repair.
SHEQ
To ensure that the Laundry & Kitchen team work to all ENGIE and The Customer’s, rules and procedures, giving particular emphasis to Health Safety Security & Environmental management. This includes regulations on waste, the environment and COSHH.
Customer Care
To maintain a good working relationship with customer representatives and work in a manner that ensures that all aspects of the service agreement between ENGIE and the Customer are delivered with the requisite levels of professionalism.
General
To follow the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbook.
Carry out repairs and maintenance of all hotel Laundry and Kitchen equipment.
Follow the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in the plan and carry out all tasks / assignments in a timely manner (meeting deadlines) carefully.
Look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel and ENGIE and correctly deposit them back to the stores after finishing the shift.
To interact with all guest and colleagues in a professional manner at all times.
To have a basic knowledge of all other Engineering functions: including but not limited to carpentry; plumbing; masonry; electrical, painting etc.
To complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper log books or by using appropriate IT software, e.g. Maintenance Management System
To become fully familiar with all Company and site procedures, which affect him and co-workers and carry out all responsibilities detailed in the Integrated Company Management System
To represent the Company well to Customers and external agencies by reasonable dress and demeanour and ensure the site and all Company property are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
