JOB SUMMARY:
The Instrumentation Inspection Engineer supervises inspection activities of the Material Control Section (Instrument) in managing the issuance and return of items and materials to monitor the utilization of standard and nonstandard items in order to ensure the maintenance of economical stock levels for the operations of KJOM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Material Control
- Execute specific inspections and tests on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site
- Inspect all instrument installation and calibration to ensure the quality criteria are kept
- Storekeeping of instrument/material under control to maintain proper condition and avoid damage
- Maintain record of all checks in protocols/checklists, and build attributed archive
- Review/evaluate contractors' quality assurance/quality control systems, as necessary.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of Material Control Section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures
- Check and confirm usability of all inward Instruments based on inspection regulations
- Supervise release of materials in accordance with requisition forms from departments
- Evaluate variation orders/claims raised by contractors and resolve cost related disputes
- Testing and commissioning of all installed equipment and complete systems
- Promote possible utilization of surplus materials in stock
- Handle all technical matters related to correctness and completeness of purchased materials, including review of test certificates, drawings and catalogues.
Documentation and Governance
- Assists in the development and implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.
- Follow the Operational Procedures and HSSE guidelines and Country Law
- Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental reports and KPIs which conform to Company and department requirements, policies and standards
- Assists and guides all the Warehouse staff in performing the work as per procedure
- Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
