Overall administration of the Human Resources function, leading the company’s efforts in attracting and retaining a diverse talent pool. Source of advice and support in the areas of recruitment and employment law, compensation and benefits, worker compensation, training, policy development, change management, and employee safety. Build and implement hiring job descriptions and requirements to meet upper management strategy goals and objectives. Reports to General Manager. Member of the Management Team. Supervise one team member.
- Develop, implement and administer human resources’ plans, policies, and procedures.
- Facilitate company-wide strategic planning and participate in developing departmental goals and objectives.
- Take full Responsibility and Coordination of recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt personnel, temporary workers, and interns.
- Manage challenging employee situations, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
- Develop and administer company wage and salary structure, and compensation policies including variable pay systems, bonuses, and increases.
- Develop, implement and monitor performance evaluation program and train managers on appropriate process.
- Develop, implement and monitor staff motivation programs.
- Lead benefits administration.
- Design, direct and manage a process of organizational development that addresses items such as succession planning, workforce development, employee retention, organizational design, and change management.
- Initiate and Identify training and development needs of the workforce. Design, implement and monitor training initiatives such as new employee orientation, customer service, management, safety, and others as necessary.
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
- Upgrade quality of onboarding program. Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
- Develop and launch a formal mentoring program.
Manage employee communication and feedback through a variety of methods including employee newsletters, company meetings, employee satisfaction surveys and focus groups.
- Initiate and Identify Talent Acquisition programs.
- Maintain and develop the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Maintain and develop organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Overlooks and approves entire payroll methodology and employees’ compensations.
