Nursing Services Activities
- Assist the Head Nurse and Staff Nurses in carrying out patients’ health checks including vitals, samples, temperature and blood pressure, and record previous medical history, family history and current medications.
- Collect lifestyle data from patients, including smoking status, alcohol consumption and exercise.
- Ensureall test samples are appropriately labelled and packaged for transportation to the laboratory.
- Report any observed changes in the patient’s health conditions, behaviors, or any other cause for concern to the Head Nurse or assigned Physician / Dentist.
- Assist Dentists in Dental operations by handling the suctioning performed during treatment and positioning and passing instruments, in addition to placing materials on instruments and in patient’s mouth.
- Responsible for maintaining stock control of clinical supplies, and re-stocking of clinical areas with such supplies.
- Responsible for implementing patient care activities in terms of recognizing patients’ needs, answering and fulfilling patients’ enquiries, and escalating critical conditions to Head Nurse.
- Ensure high level of clinical hygiene and cleanliness is maintained, and communicate observed hygienic hazardous to Head Nurse and Sterilization Assistant.
- Responsible for organizing clinical rooms before and after medical treatment including returning trays and equipment to proper storage areas, and the disposal of used devices.
- Escort / transport patients within or outside the primary healthcare center when necessary.
Implement all patient care and quality improvement initiatives, and communicate observed deviations to Head Nurse.
