  • Oversee staff who respond to customer inquiries.

  • Receive incoming phone calls and/or electronic messages from people who have concerns about a company’s goods or services.

  • Make sure employees know how to respond to what is being asked and do so in a manner that puts the company in a good light.

  • Make sure correct procedures are followed and directions are given routinely to the staff on what to do and how to improve.

  • Set goals to achieve as a way to improve performance and measure effectiveness.

  • Firm grasp on the company’s requirements from its customer service team.

  • May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring candidates and then address duties and expectations.

  • Monitor both group and individual performance.

  • Increase productivity and customer satisfaction.

  • Document observations in written reports and submit to higher management.

  • Ask the staff for input on how to increase productivity and better serve clients.
