- Oversee staff who respond to customer inquiries.
- Receive incoming phone calls and/or electronic messages from people who have concerns about a company’s goods or services.
- Make sure employees know how to respond to what is being asked and do so in a manner that puts the company in a good light.
- Make sure correct procedures are followed and directions are given routinely to the staff on what to do and how to improve.
- Step in, offer advice, or authorize a special adjustment when an employee needs help dealing with customer concerns.
- Scheduling workers to ensure adequate coverage.
- Set goals to achieve as a way to improve performance and measure effectiveness.
- Firm grasp on the company’s requirements from its customer service team.
- May be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring candidates and then address duties and expectations.
- Monitor both group and individual performance.
- Increase productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Document observations in written reports and submit to higher management.
- Ask the staff for input on how to increase productivity and better serve clients.
