We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant.
Role
The position will be responsible to provide accounting support to the broker function.
Main Tasks of the Role
Managing revenue accounting, collection and recording, sales commission recording, Premium Recording & Payments and Discounts Recording
Managing payables
Personnel expenses accounting including salaries, commission on sales and allowances
Recording the provisions and prepayments including annual tickets, EOS, rent, bonus and depreciation etc.
Preparation of reconciliations including bank, corporate clients, insurance companies and intercompany etc.
Monthly Sales Report and Monthly Business Unit Report
Maintain fixed assets register
Receivable ageing
Verifying expense accounts before processing and recording of all expenses
Understanding the rules and regulations of CMA and comply accordingly
Liaison with tax department and comply with their requirements
Prepare schedule and control the PDCs (Post dated cheques)
Coordination with in-house underwriters for Compliance with Accounts receivable collection manual
Preparing month end closing entries
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Liaison with external and internal auditors
General accounting, cost accounting
Sales control accounts and invoicing to the customers
Verifying internal controls compliance
Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and book keeping personnel, and direct their work activities
Substantiate financials transactions by auditing documents
Coaching and training the sub-ordinates Any other tasks as assigned by the Management
