MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:


The Internal Sales Executive acts as the first point of contact with the customer, portraying a professionalism and confidence that delivers the ultimate in customer service. They will be tasked with building and maintaining an active customer base to support the field sales team and will develop new sales to support the depot.


The Internal Sales Executive will maximise revenue and profit against agreed targets through predominantly outbound telephone account management and the development of both the existing customer base and new business.


The role holder will be a fully contributing and productive member of the Sales Team, working in conjunction with other team members to provide a seamless service to the business


 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Account Management


Actively manage and retain an active customer base within an agreed percentage



Develop and sustain a solid relationship between Rapid Access and its customers


Promote the Rapid Access brand, core values and mission statement to maintain market leading image



Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our products and services and the they benefit our clients


Work with closely with the field sales team and keeping them informed of any developments relevant to their accounts



Build strong relationships with colleagues in other depots to enable and accept passing of remote hire orders



Conduct post-sales follow up customer calls customer to ensure high level of customer satisfaction



Ensure that all customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion. Where relevant, escalate and log matters



Perform routine follow up calls as per renewal procedure to hit renewal sales targets



Redevelop dormant accounts to agreed percentage



Ensure customer service and customer expectations are exceeded by dealing with all customer queries quickly, efficiently and cost effectively


 



New Business Development



Actively sell Rapid Access’ products and service offerings to customers and prospective customers



Manage profitable growth targets for a portfolio of customers to achieve ‘above minimum’ prices to hit and surpass revenue targets



Ensure existing and prospective decision-maker contact and sales targets are met in accordance with agreed key performance indicators



Proactively seek and identifying new sales opportunities by targeting a combination of existing and prospective customers



Successfully qualify, develop and convert leads and enquiries into orders to produce budgeted order conversion ratio


Comply with approved sales process when qualifying prospects, nurturing leads, and identifying opportunities


Maximise sales by continually expanding orders and up-selling on all incoming and outgoing calls


 


Administration & Reporting


Prepare, follow-up and manage customer quotations for the field sales team


Maintain and update the customer contact database with accurate and relevant data


Complete and maintain accurate data gathering and sales forecasting


Perform regular and timely reporting functions including quotes, bookings, renewals and contract activation


Participate in management meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items


Support Hire Desk during busy periods


Assist in completing sales projects including proposals and marketing
