Ensure efficient purchasing and delivery of goods and services to support the business operations.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
- Purchasing of goods and services for business divisions from local/ foreign sources, as per the company policy.
- Negotiation with vendors to obtain best price and delivery.
- Coordination with Stores and Finance to ensure smooth purchase flow.
- Prepare necessary reports for the division.
- Consistently update self with the standards, rules & regulations in the country.
- Management of purchased stock costs and supporting reductions in costs. Optimizing the supply base to improving supplier delivery performance and service levels.
- Agreement of the business strategy and subsequent implementation of this strategy.
- Coordinating the selection, introduction and identification of new suppliers in line with current procedures leading to business growth
- Preparing the necessary orders dispatch documents.
- Arranging deliveries and distribution to customers.
- Arranging with transporters for getting the required trucks.
- Overseeing the planned maintenance of company’s vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for Safety & Quality of the function/ Task performed.
Carrying out other occasional duties related to the scope of the job as requested.
Accountabilities
- Create and innovate new ideas & approaches for department improvement.
- Devise effective change initiatives.
- Analyze numerical data, verbal data and all other sources of information.
- Minimizing NCR and compliance with internal and external audits.
Minimum Job Requirements
A. Education
Graduate in any discipline.
B. Professional Experience
• Min 2-4 years in the same or similar position.
• Total of 4-6 years of experience in company of repute
