Biomedical Technician will assist in the operation, maintenance, install, troubleshoot and repair of
all electronic and electro-mechanical medical equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To perform installation, inspection, maintenance and repair work on electronic and
Electro-mechanical equipment and other treatment operating machines.
2. Assists in developing equipment and service maintenance strategies.
3. Compiles maintenance procedures based upon manufacture recommendations and
good practice.
4. Documents maintenance procedures, processes and performance figures.
5. Maintains records and Departmental control data.
6. Assists the clinical division in the compilation of data and reports.
7. Assists technicians and engineers in other specialties as required.
8. Operates and monitors the Building Automation System (BAS) as required after training.
9. Participates in teams to achieve larger installations and building repair and restoration
work.
10. Participates in any allocated team functions and performs any other work determined to
be within his competence by the Manager – Service & Maintenance
