Overview:
To continue its ambitious expansion, the company is currently moving to next generation applications and development of IT infrastructure with a multi-year business and IT transformation. In order to support and achieve this aggressive growth, Alshaya is currently looking for an experienced Junior Project Manager to join the IT division. This role reports into our Senior Project Managers and is based in Kuwait. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will take on the management of key enterprise application and technology transformation projects, securing delivery on time, within budget, at the highest quality and full scope.
The Role:
- Responsible for leading and managing IT Projects and Project teams to deliver the identified business and IT objectives end to end
- Responsible for supporting senior project and program managers on larger projects
- Responsible for managing IT projects covering areas such as POS, mobile, CRM, ecommerce, cloud/data Centre, desktop, ERP, merchandize and business planning, warehousing, data mining and analytics to bring about an effective enterprise application and technology transformation.
- Responsible for managing partnerships with third party resource suppliers (system integrators) and working with software vendors, securing value for money and quality of service.
- Ensures corporate policies and procedures in regards to information security and otherwise are adhered to in every project delivered.
The requirements- 5+ year's work experience with at least a 3 years proven track record in successfully leading and delivering transformational projects and managing multi-disciplinary IT teams of 10+.
- Proven experience in partnering with SI's and software vendors both in RFQ/RFP process and in deployment.
- At least 3+ years of experience in Agile and Prince 2 with certification strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of application technologies that include ERP, advanced planning, EPOS, analytics, digital/ECOMM, CRM, cloud, mobile, networking, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.
- In depth understanding of "delivering" according to Information Security policies and procedures.
- Experience working in matrix organisations within an international organisation.
- Experience working with distributed and offshore IT organisations would be advantageous
- Retail experience would be advantageous

- Proven ability to think strategically and to innovate with a passion for emerging next generation technology.
- Knowledge of industry standard retail business processes covering multi-channel retailing and change management experience to support the same.
- Ability to problem solve, influence with excellent networking skills.
- Well structured, delivery focused and driven.
- Team management, leadership.
- Highly collaborative with strong communication skills.
- Technical management and understanding, analyzing information, project staffing, developing budgets, coordination, quality management.
