Job Purpose
Responsible for ensuring that a comprehensive information security system for Companyis in place, along with strict information security controls and protected data from unauthorised access and misuse of all kinds as well as develop, maintain and enhance established information systems logical and physical security policy in order to protect Company's assets, data, programs, network and equipment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Policies & Processes
Implement IT Division policies and follow the set processes in order to achieve the IT Division’s objectives
Security Activities
- Determine security needs, develop and implement Information System Security solutions, policies and procedures throughout Company's business units and ensure strict adherence to these policies and procedures.
- Design and implement an extensive information security program and conduct robust security measures to protect Company's data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of any kind.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security solutions including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection/prevention systems and monitor all relevant security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
- Identify information security deficiencies, risks, security gaps and areas with potential security breaches (violations) in Company's electronic infrastructure.
- Assist in driving remediation activities to mitigate those security deficiencies and recommend changes to safeguard Company's electronic infrastructure.
- Perform Information Security audits, analysis, vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection/prevention and log monitoring of computing resources and networks using automated auditing tool in all phases of the system lifecycle to ensure confidentiality.
- Evaluate and adjust security assessment methodology to ensure assessment adequately identifies associated risks.
- Provide consultative services to raise awareness of information security standards, concerns, and interpretation and/or clarification of security policies.
- Liaise with Risk Management department in order to assess and develop new tools with respect to information security governance and document master passwords and super user details and maintain password logs for review of the Risk Management Department and Auditors.
- Review and grant access rights to users of systems/applications, test new computer security procedures, disable and create new users and maintain security and confidentiality over the issuance and proper maintenance of authorized User ID’s and passwords and maintain all related password logs.
- Store all sensitive data utilizing multiple firewalls on secure servers with restricted employee access.
- Perform other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager
Reports
- Prepare reports that cover IT activities for the Direct Manager, as requested.
